Field names and descriptions
Day Period >> (M)
Type or double click to select the day period. The day period code is a combination of the day number (eg. day 4 - Thursday) and the period number (eg. period 2). Another example of a period could be 5L, where the 5 represents Friday and the L represents lunch.
Line # (M)
Type the line reference number that relates to this day period. Two or more grids can be used in the same table.

Example.
Year 12 subject choices could be as follows:

Line number Subject choices
1 Physics Australian History etc
2 Chemistry Health Education etc
3 Drama Geography etc
4 Business Maths Physical Education etc
5 Mathematics 1 Photography etc
6 Computing Applied Mathematics etc
etc

Students choose one subject per line. A timetable grid (with the line numbers) can then be produced. For example:

Line # Day
Period Mon Tues etc
1 1 2 etc
2 2 5 etc
3 3 1 etc
4 4 3 etc
5 5 6 etc
6 6 4 etc
etc

This example shows that a student who has chosen Physics (on Line # 1), will have a class during period 1 on Monday and period 3 on Tuesday.
