SYS Adding staff reliefs (substitute lesson details)

This system task is used to assign internal relief staff against an absent teacher.
Otherwise, use the system task:
Path: Staff Module... > Absences and Reliefs... > Absences

  1. Click Staff Module....
    The Staff Module... menu displays.
  2. Click Absences and Reliefs....
    The Absences and Reliefs... menu displays.
  3. Click Absences.
    The Staff Absence Details list displays.
  4. Double click the required record.
    The Staff Absence Details screen displays.
  5. From the List Box, double click A-Reliefs.
    The Staff Substitute Lesson Details (Staff Reliefs) screen displays.
  6. Click New.
    The fields clear.
  7. If the current semester is Semester 2, change the 0,1 in the
    Select for Academic Period(s) field to 0,2.
  8. Click on Apply.
    The selected staff member's lesson details are filled in
    (in the Period   Class # box).
  9. Click on a lesson to select it.
    The Day period and Class # fields are filled in.  A list of available staff displays
    (together with their number of free periods for the week - if schedule
    details have been entered into EDSAS).
  10. Click on a Staff ID to select the staff member to be assigned the relief.
    The selected ID is placed in the Relieving Staff ID field.
  11. Enter relief details if required.
  12. Click Save.
  13. Click Cancel repeatedly to return to the Absences and Reliefs... menu and click Main to return to the Main menu , or do the following if the staff member is a TRT:

  1. If the selected staff member is a TRT, double click on A-Relieving Staff TRT.
    The Staff TRT Usage Details screen displays.
  2. Click New.
  3. Double click in the TRT Account field.
    A list of TRT Accounts displays.
  4. Click on the required TRT Account and click OK.
    The selected TRT Account is placed in the TRT Account field.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Click Cancel repeatedly to return to the Absences and Reliefs... menu and click Main to return to the Main menu.
