Field names and descriptions
One or more of the following criteria must be entered.

Student ID >>
Type or double click to select the student identification number.
Year Level >>
Type or double click to select the year level.
Roll Class >>
Type or double click to select the roll class.
Add button
Click this button once you have chosen one or more of the above criteria. Alternatively, you can press Enter.
Remove button
Click this button to remove a selected student from the student list. Repeat this action to remove other students as required.
To select more than one student from the list:
For a consecutive range of students, click the first student you require and then hold the Shift key and click the last student you require, or
For a random selection of students, hold down the Ctrl key and click the students you require.
Lock button
Click this button once you have chosen the student record you would like to work on. Only one student can be processed at a time. If you need to unlock the student record (to process another student or close SAR processing), click this button again. If you have not saved, by clicking Commit, you will be reminded to do so when unlocking.
Activities and responsibilities.
The list box displays the student's activities and responsibilities.
By default, all activities and responsibilities will be untagged. If an activity and responsibility is required on the Student Achievement Record, click the activity and then click the Tag/Untag button. The activity will display Y in the last column.
To de-select an activity, click the activity and then click the Tag/Untag button. The activity will display N in the last column.
Comment
If a comment is required for an activity (that would naturally be tagged), click the activity, then click in the comment text box and type a comment. Comments may also be inserted by pressing F6 or Ctrl + L (in the comment text box), and double clicking the comment required. Alternatively, type the three character comment code and press Ctrl + E. To automatically insert the student's given name, press Ctrl + N.
Subjects
The list box displays all subject from the student's current course record and completed subjects which have been recorded in the Student Academic Record (SAR).
By default, all subjects will be tagged. If a subject is not required on the Student Achievement Record, click the subject and then click the Tag/Untag button. The subject will display N in the last column.
To re-select a subject, click the subject and then click the Tag/Untag button. The subject will display Y in the last column.
LOA >>
Subjects tagged require a Level Of Achievement. Click the subject, then type or double click the LOA field to select the level of achievement. If results are not available, the * (Results Not Available) code should be used.
Assessing School >>
If a subject is being assessed by another school, click the subject, then type or double click the Assessing School field to select the code of the assessing school.
Strict subject checking
Defaults to ticked so that EDSAS will automatically allocate the type of subject (depending on the table it came from). If the type needs to be set manually, then this option should be de-selected.
The following options will be set by EDSAS. Click the subject and one of the following will be displayed:
Current Studies
This indicates that the subject is a non-SACE subject (from the student current course table).
Subject Completed ( ... years)
This indicates that the subject has been completed (and has been recorded in the academic record table).
The year determines the number of years that will be reported on, the default being 2 years. Change this period as required.
Current SACE Studies
This indicates that the subject is a SACE subject (from the student current course table).
Reference button
Clicking this button will take you to the Student SAR Reference Details screen , so that student references can be created, displayed, edited or deleted. For assistance, refer to the system task SYS Creating a student reference .
Other subjects button
Clicking this button will take you to the Students Other Subjects Completed list, so that other subject records completed prior to the current reporting period can be created, displayed, edited or deleted. For assistance, refer to the system task SYS Adding student other subject details .
Reference tick box
A tick displays if a reference for the selected student exists.
A & R tick box
A tick appears if activities and responsibilities for the selected student exist.
Cur. Studies tick box
A tick appears if non-SACE subjects for the selected student exist.
Subj. Complete tick box
A tick appears if completed and assessed subjects for the selected student exist.
SACE Studies tick box
A tick appears if SACE subjects for the selected student exist.
Commit
Click this button to save all information. Ensure that all subjects not required are untagged before clicking Commit.
