1. Receive a request for enrolment for next term.
2. Is a parent/ guardian interview required?
Some schools require all new student parents/guardians to be interviewed before the student is allowed to attend the school. Whether an interview is required is subject to individual school practice and is not governed by policy.

3. Arrange a parent/guardian interview.
Parent/guardian interviews are arranged for students that are transferring to the school during term, from interstate or non-government schools or when requested by the parent.
4. Completion of EDO45M enrolment and/or ED046 transfer form.
Box 3 of the EDO46 form should be completed (if applicable).
5. ED043 pupil record folder created (if necessary).
An ED043 pupil record folder is created if the student has never attended a government school. If the student is transferring from a government school, the previous school must transfer the student's folder to the new school. If the student is transferring from a non-government school, the previous school forwards record copies or originals to the new school.
6. If a transfer, enrolling school completes box 1 (part 1) of the ED046 form.

Parent/guardian gives consent to obtain information from the previous school (if necessary).
7. The form is faxed to the previous school.
8. Previous school immediately completes box 2 (part 1) and faxes it back.
9. Does the student have a sibling at the school?
To check whether a sibling is already at the school ask the student for their sibling's name and check whether their name is on the system and that the students share the same parent/guardian.

10. Enrol the student (with sibling) with a status of Future.

A status of F is entered.

11. Enrol the student (without a sibling) - status of Future. Put in temp roll class.

A status of F is entered. The student in placed in a temporary roll class.
12. Student starts school. Change status to Active. Place in roll class.

Also ensure the correct status, roll class and date of commencement are recorded.
13. Forward student data to resource centre for entry into library system.
14. Process the student fees.

15. Print report (if required).

16. Part 2 of EDO46 form, and student records received from previous school.

If dealing with a transferring student, part 2 of the EDO46 Student Transfer Advice form must be completed by the previous school and forwarded to the enrolling school. This must be completed within two weeks of receipt of the form by the previous school.

If a government school, all original student records (and a data disk) must be transferred. If a non-government school, copies or originals may be transferred. If a non-government school is involved, the parent/guardian must request the information.
17. Update student's details (if required).

For example:
Update the Student ID if the student has one from a previous SA govt school.
SYS Editing student personal information .

Financial assistance details (other than School Card) can be updated if required.
SYS Adding assistance details to student records .

Update school history if required.
SYS Editing student school history details .
