Process Detail

1. Requirement to enrol CPC students in EDSAS.

The advantages of using EDSAS to record CPC (Child Parent Centre) students includes the ability to use the Finance module to invoice CPC families, thus keeping all finance data for the sites integrated. Also, the reporting of CPC students and family details can also occur.

The disadvantages include increased data entry before and after the rollover process (see the end of the procedure). Also, student IDs will not reflect the year that students commenced Reception, but in fact the year they were first enrolled in the CPC.

Notes on rollovers:

After rolling over CPC students from PE (Pre-school) to RE (Reception), manual editing will be required.

For those remaining in the CPC, these students will need to be allocated to the next CPC roll class prior to the rollover. After rollover, their origin codes will need to edited and manually changed back to PE.

For those entering Reception, these students will need to be allocated the reception roll class before rollover. After rollover, their campus will then need to be changed to the correct campus. Also, their enrolment date will need to be manually altered to the date they started reception. Finally, the origin code will need to be changed to ESS on the Student Personal Information Part 2 screen.
