SYS Creating Student Achievement Records (SARs)

This system task is used to create Student Achievement Records (SARs). It selects activities, subjects and other options, which can later be printed.

Path: Student Module... > Student Utilities... > SAR... > SAR Main

  1. Click Student Module...
    The Student Module... menu displays.
  2. Click Student Utilities...
    The Student Utilities... menu displays.
  3. Click SAR...
    The SAR... menu displays.
  4. Click SAR Main
    The SAR screen displays. Refer to the SAR screen for specific details.
  5. Type or double click to select a Student ID and/or Year Level and/or Roll Class.
  6. Click Add.
    The student(s) will be displayed in the list box on the right.
  7. Click the required student.
  8. Click Lock.
    The student is ready for SAR processing.
    Note:
    Important rules apply to this screen. If you do not know these rules, refer to the SAR screen and read the information carefully.
    Important:
    Ensure that all subjects not required are untagged before you proceed to the next step.
  9. Click Commit.
    The Student Achievement Record for the student is saved.
  10. If at least one of the academic records being committed for this student has a Level of Achievement (LOA) result which is not valid for the level of subject, an Invalid LOA found message displays. Click OK.
    Notes:
    The academic record should be updated when SARs are required to be printed.
    Check the RTSTULOA reference table for a list of valid LOA results.
  11. Click Unlock.
    The student is no longer active for processing.
  12. If another student on the current list requires SAR processing, repeat steps 7-11.
  13. If SAR processing is required using other criteria, repeat steps 5 to 12.
  14. Click OK.
    The SAR... menu displays.
  15. Click Main to return to the Main menu .
