SYS Re-enrolling a left student

This system task is used to re-enrol a student who has recently left the school and has not been archived.
Related system tasks include:
Path: Student Module... > Student Personal Details
[arrow.gif] From the Main Menu
  1. Click Student Module...
    The Student Module... menu displays.
  2. Click Student Personal Details.
    The Student Personal Information, Part 1 list displays.
  3. Double click the required student record.
    The Student Personal Information, Part 1 screen displays.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Change the student's Status from L (Left) to A (Active).
  6. Change the Date Enrolled to reflect the new enrolment date. Make a note of this for step 12.
  7. Change the student's Year Level (if necessary).
  8. Change the student's Roll Class to a current Roll Class.
  9. Click Save.
    The data in the Date left and Dest Sch fields in Student Personal Information, Part 2 screen will be removed automatically.
  10. From the List Box, double click R-Roll Class History.
    The Student Roll Class History list displays.
  11. Double click the last record. This will be the Left Roll Class record.
    The Student Roll Class History screen displays.
  12. To change the Effective to date of the Left Roll Class so that it is before the new enrolment date, do the following:
    • Click Edit.
    • Double click the Effective to field.
    • Type the most recent school day immediately before the new enrolment date.
    • Click Save.
    • Click Cancel.
      The Student Roll Class History list displays.
    • Click Cancel.
      The Student Personal Information, Part 1 screen displays.
  13. Click Cancel repeatedly to return to the Student Module... menu and click Main to return to the Main menu , or do one of the following:
[arrow.gif] If the Student is transferring in from another school (and you know all details)
  1. From the List Box, double click 8- School History Details.
    The Student School History Details list displays.
  2. If the student has no record of the previous school, go to step 3, otherwise go to step 6.
  3. Click New.
    The Student School History Details screen displays.
  4. Enter the student's previous school history details (with no overlapping dates).
  5. Click Save.
  6. Click Cancel repeatedly to return to the Student Module... menu and Click Main to return to the Main menu .
[arrow.gif] If the Student is re-enrolling for Year 13
  1. From the List Box, double click 8- School History Details.
    The Student School History Details list displays.
  2. Double click the record that shows Date Left (which would have been created at the end of year roll over).
    The Student School History Details screen displays.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Delete the date in the Date Left field.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Click Cancel.
    The Student School History Details list displays.
  7. Click Cancel.
    The Student Personal Information, Part 1 screen displays.
  8. From the List Box, double click Q-Student Leave Details.
    The Student Leave Details screen displays.
  9. If there is an entry for this student, which would have been created at the time of leaving school, do the following, otherwise go to step 10:
    • Click Edit.
    • Click Delete.
      The Delete this record? message displays.
    • Click Yes.
  10. Click Cancel repeatedly to return to the Student Module... menu .
  11. Click Main to return to the Main menu .
