SYS Transferring students out

This system task is used to transfer student data to another school (at which they have recently been enrolled). In most cases, transfers will be carried out on an individual basis. Students must have a status of L (Left) before this transfer can occur. A transfer out is used when the transition out process does not apply.

  1. Click Student Module....
    The Student Module... menu displays.
  2. Click Transition Utilities....
    The Transition Utilities... menu displays.
  3. Click Transfer Students....
    The Transfer Students... menu displays.
  4. Click Transfer Out.
    The Student Transfer screen displays.
  5. Specify the transfer school and student(s) transferring to that school.
  6. Click OK.
    The Are you sure you want to transfer the selected student(s)? message displays.
  7. Click Yes.
    When processing is complete the Please insert disk 1 into drive A message displays.
  8. Insert a blank floppy disk (or one that can be overwritten) and click OK.
    When the transfer is complete the report Select Destination dialog box displays.
  9. To view and/or print a report, do one of the following (otherwise click Cancel and go to step 10):
    • To view the report:
      • Click OK.
        The Report Viewer displays.
    • To print the report:
      • Select the Print Report option and click OK.
        The Information message displays and the report is sent to the printer.
  10. From the Student Transfer screen , click Cancel.
    The Close student transfers? confirmation message displays.
  11. Click Yes.
    The Transfer Students... menu displays.
  12. Click Main to return to the Main menu .
